Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds extended a proclamation increasing vehicle weight limits during the harvest season, her office announced on Friday.

Usually, the weight limit for vehicles without a permit is 80,000 pounds. That limit is now increased to 90,000 pounds for vehicles transporting corn, soybeans, soybean meal, hay, straw, silage, stover, fertilizer and manure.

The proclamation lasts through November 17. It does not change the axle weight limit of 20,000 pounds or any weight limits imposed by bridges.
