Two local cross country teams wrapped up the regular season Thursday with a meet in Montezuma.
The Sigourney girls were team runners-up with 59 points. English Valleys won the meet with 29. Ellie Yates was the top Savage runner in third at 21:14. Ashlynn Hosbond of Colfax-Mingo was the champ in 20:06. Other Sigourney runners included Addison Yates fourth, Brynn Clarahan eighth, Cloee Wilson 12th, and Kia Montgomery 42nd. The Sigourney boys were third as team with 82 points. South Tama was the winner at 57. Troy Klett was individual runner up in 17:00. Barrett Jesina of South Tama the winner in 16:21. Other Savage runners included Levi Myers was 14th, Cole Klett 18th, Jordan Anderson 19th, and Isaac Jones 42nd.
The Keota Eagles did not post a boys team score. The Eagles had a trio that included Hunter Grandstaff 29th at 20:43, Chase Haifley 34th and Luke Moeller 36th.
