
It may be October, but the mild fall temperatures have yet to be seen.
According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, the KCII listening area will be seeing temperatures in the upper 80s the rest of the week, and continuing into early next week.
The average max temperature in Washington for the month of September was 82.2 degrees, five degrees above normal. Also to note, precipitation for September was two inches below normal with 1.7 inches observed.
It is important to remember that even though the day begins with mild temperatures, you must stay hydrated throughout the day. Also remember to apply or reapply sunscreen after removing sweatshirts or outer layers of clothing.
