Brody Clark has 13 catches for a team-high 158 yards and a score. Isaiah Lange is a stalwart defensively with 18 stops, 10-and-a-half in the backfield, and a Class 3A-leading seven-and-a-half sacks. The Panthers have 10 total takeaways in 2025, and are top 10 in 3A in 10 statistical categories.
This week, Washington head coach Kelly Williams spoke with KCII Sports about what the Panthers bring to the table.
“They’re [Mount Pleasant] physical up front. They want to run the ball consistently. They’ve got a good group of kids,” Williams said. “We’re going to have to play really well. It’s homecoming for them. It’s going to be a great environment down there. We’re going to have to match their intensity right away. I’ve talked with our kids about it. They’re going to come out fired up, and we’re going to have to match that in the first quarter. They’re a well-improved team.”
Washington has dominated the all-time series with Mount Pleasant in the Varsity Bound era, winning 14 straight since they dropped the first matchup in 2008. The most recent matchup occurred last season, with the Demons coming out on top of a 39-28 final.
