
Two local schools traveled to Belle Plaine Tuesday Night for their annual cross country invitational.
The Sigourney Savages swept the individual gold in both the boys and girls races. Troy Klett took his title streak to four in a time of 17:40. For the girls it was an all-Yates 1-2 finish with Addison scoring the win in 21:43 and Ellie just behind her. Other runners for the Savages included Brynn Clarahan sixth, Levi Myers eighth, Jordan Anderson 12th, Cloee Wilson 14th, Cole Klett 15th, Isaac Jones 19th. The Sigourney boys were second as a team with 49 points, behind English Valleys winning 38.
Keota sent a trio of varsity boys, led by Hunter Grandstaff 17th in 21:32, followed by Luke Moeller 21st and Will Griener 45th.
