An Oklahoma man has been arrested on sexual assault charges for a case in Louisa County. According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year old Jonathon Thomas Ruth was arrested in Mustang, Oklahoma at his residence following a five-month long investigation.

Ruth is charged with felony counts of sexual abuse in the second degree; lascivious actives with a child, two felony counts; and indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was transported to the Louisa County Jail and bond was set at $50,000.

In April of this year, local authorities received a report of a sexual assault on a juvenile that occurred more than 10 years ago in Louisa County. The sheriff’s office outlines there are no statute of limitations on alleged sexual offenses if the victim was under 18-years old at the time of the offense.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 19th.
