Pavement patching is scheduled to begin on Monday in southern Washington County, and may cause travel delays.

The patching will be taking place on Spruce Avenue and 305th Street in southeast Washington County.

Beginning on Monday, September 8th, weather permitting, Midwest Contractors out of Cedar Falls will be closing portions of Spruce Ave and 305th Street so work can take place safely. Drivers will be directed through the work zone with the use of flaggers and a pilot car. This work is expected to take one to two weeks to complete.

The Washington County Engineers’ Office encourages drivers to slow down and use caution in work zones and to pay attention to roadway signage.

Drivers are reminded that traffic fines for moving violations are doubled in work zones.
