
It took all five on Thursday, but it was worth the wait for the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves volleyball team as they scored a road win over Keokuk. The Wolves were winners 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 19-25 and 15-11. Stat leaders included Madisen Kellogg with 41 assists, Kynlee Buffington with 23 kills, Quin Smith with nine. Kellee Milks with 23 digs, Katie Miller with 21. Three blocks for Buffington, two for Miller, five aces for Milks and four for Buffington. It’s the first win of the season for WMU and new head coach Ashlei Venghaus as they improve to 1-0. Keokuk is 0-1. The Wolves are at Louisa-Muscatine Tuesday.
