
Average gas prices continued to drop across the state of Iowa this week according to the latest fuel report from AAA and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
Regular unleaded gas is down a penny to an average of $2.88 per gallon across Iowa, while the national average rose eight cents to $3.21.
Retail diesel costs rose two cents per gallon to an average of $3.53 in the Hawkeye state, 18 cents below the national average.
Crude oil prices ticked up this week, with West Texas Intermediate Crude rising $1.22 to $63.93 and Brent crude climbing $1.55 to $67.81 per barrel. Drivers are encouraged to take caution when driving over the holiday weekend.
