City Offices throughout the KCII listening area will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. 

Closures include city offices in Washington, Wellman, Kalona, Wayland, Brighton, Winfield, Riverside, Sigourney, and Keota. This includes most libraries and banks. All branches of the YMCA of Washington County are closed as well, but 24-hour access is still available to members. Washington County offices are also closed.

Any city council meetings typically held on the first Monday of the month have been rescheduled. The WCHC Clinics and Beans Pharmacy will be closed. All city offices will open with regular hours on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday of September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements in the United States.
