After one of the best years in program history, the Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team was rewarded with four spots on All-Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division Teams.
Senior Malia Yoder was a First-Team North performer at utility. Yoder hit .500 with a .563OBP, .670 slug and 1.234OPS. Yoder led the team with 44 total hits. She scored 31 times, driving in 26 with 12 walks and 12 stolen bases. In the circle, Yoder led the way with 123 innings and 10 wins. She gave up a .252 opponent average, 176 hits, 100 earned runs, 76 walks, 112 strikeouts, a 5.69ERA and 2.05WHIP.
Senior Delaney Shaw was a second team choice at catcher. Shaw finished eighth in Class 1A with five homers and 10th with a .608OBP, to go with a team best .532 average, .797 slug, 1.406OPS, 36 RBI and 33 runs scored with 42 total hits.
Two Ravens were named honorable mention. Senior Morgyn Nafziger hit .280 with a .466OBP, .333 slug and .799OPS. She led the team with 35 runs scored and 25 walks. Nafziger collected 21 hits and seven RBI. Eighth grader Ella Mize hit .329 with a .430OBP, .405 slug and .835OPS. Mize had 26 hits, 17RBI, 12 runs scored and 10 walks. In the circle she served as the closer, leading the team with four saves, a 2.29ERA and 1.45WHIP across 36 innings on 40 hits, 12 earned runs, 13 walks and 28 strikeouts. Hillcrest finished the season 13-15, the second most wins in school history.
