Southeast Iowa could see more excessive heat early this week.

According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, dangerous heat is expected Sunday and Monday. The heat index readings could potentially be over 100 to near 110 degrees.

To stay safe during excessive heat, drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
