
The sentencing hearing for a Kalona man who plead guilty to arson in the second degree was held Friday in Washington. According to court documents, Reuven Miller was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Miller had been arrested in January after allegedly trying to set a house on fire by using fireworks in Kalona while knowing someone else was inside the home. He was originally charged with arson in the first degree, a class B felony.
He also plead guilty to operating while intoxicated and interference with official acts.
