The Alpha Capricornids meteor shower will be visible in rural Iowa late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
The shower produces around five visible meteors per hour, which, according to the American Meteor Society, tend to be brighter than those in other showers.
Peak hours for the shower will be between 10 p.m. on Tuesday and dawn on Wednesday. The meteors are best seen in rural areas away from light pollution.
