Two standouts this spring from the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls soccer program earned recognition with spots on the Class 1A All-Southeast District team named by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Senior defender Lydia Beachy earned All-District distinction. She was part of a defense that surrendered just two goals per game. Beachy, an All-River Valley Conference first-teamer also contributed on defense with six goals scored and four assists.

Junior goalkeeper Niva Helmuth was also an All-District selection. Helmuth made 160 saves this year for an 83% save percentage, sixth best in Class 1A. She posted four total clean sheets.

The Hawks advanced to the regional final round of the playoffs for the first time in school history, finishing with a 7-11-3 overall record.
