The season ended for Winfield-Mount Union/Columbus baseball Monday night with a 15-2 loss to Wilton in the Class 2A Substate 5 playoffs. The Wolves surrendered four runs in the first inning and gave up three runs in each of the next two frames before they would crack the scoreboard, ultimately falling in five innings.

The season wraps up for WMU/Columbus with a record of 5-15. The Wolves now saw goodbye to seniors Riley Kaalberg, Lane Genkinger and Kohlby Newsom.
