St. James Elementary School in Washington will have a new principal this coming school year. 

After two years with the school, current Principal Erik Buchholz is planning to retire. The school board has selected Collin Stark to take over the position. For the last 10 years Stark has been a math teacher at Washington Middle School, and began his new role in June. 

Stark has been shadowing Buccholz to learn more about the Administrative side of education. 

St. James Elementary is a private Catholic School open to students of all faith traditions and perspectives.
