KCII’s Big Red Radio was around Washington County this weekend as part of the KCII Summer Town Tour for both Kalona Days and Brighton Whoopee Days.

The Big Red Radio began the day in Brighton, broadcasting the festival’s parade. A historic walk, a fun run, a Lions breakfast, a Whoopie Pie eating contest and kid races were also held in Brighton.

KCII broadcast the Kalona Days parade live from downtown Kalona Saturday afternoon. A 5K walk/run, a baking contest, free pony rides, an open mic, a pickleball tournament and sidewalk sales also took place in Kalona.

The next stop on the KCII Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour is Trekfest 40 in Riverside this coming Saturday. The one to count on to take you where the action is AM and FM KCII.
