U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley praised the United States Army when asked about the parade that was held on June 14th. 

Grassley stated, “I think 250 years of honoring the men and women that served in the U.S. Army, on the 250th birthday is something that we ought to do to show our appreciation of people that put their life on the line to defend our freedoms and liberties.” 

Army officials estimated that the cost of the entire day’s activities, including the parade, will range from $25 million to $45 million. The parade featured 150 military vehicles, 6,600 soldiers and 50 aircraft.
