The Lone Tree Lions earned a 5-3 win on the baseball diamond Monday night against Danville. Lone Tree took the initial lead with a run in the first inning and scored three times in the second.

While they would not dent the scoreboard after the third frame, the Lions would hold off a Danville comeback attempt. The win raises Lone Tree’s record to 4-8. Up next for the Lions is a matchup with conference rival Pekin tomorrow night.
