Officials responded to a house fire with flames seen from the roof at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, located at the intersection of Fifth Street and North Iowa in Washington. 

Departments on scene include the Washington Fire Department, Washington Police Department,  Washington Ambulance, and Ainsworth Fire Department, with at least four fire trucks working to extinguish the flames. 

Firefighters could be seen entering the blue house and breaking windows. The public is asked to avoid the area as crews are working at the scene.
