Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced the first annual Choose Iowa Farm Store Crawl next month, and two businesses in the KCII listening area are participating in the event.
Blueberry Bottom Farm, which is east of Brighton, and Land Alliance Farm, Folk School, & Retreat Center, which is south of Oxford, will be part of the two-day event.
Blueberry Bottom will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The business offers strawberry and blueberry plants, as well as picked strawberries and blueberries once they are in season. Land Alliance will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., when visitors will be able to participate in a scavenger hunt and taste samples. Land Alliance offers classes, lodging, event space, and food products.
In total, 50 businesses across the state are participating in the event, which will take place June 21 and 22.
