The Mid-Prairie girls and boys golf teams took on River Valley Conference competition and tough scoring conditions Monday. The Golden Hawk girls beat the Beavers in a River Valley Conference dual 191-242. All of the Hawk’s rounds on the day were better or even with the best card from the Beavers as they swept the individual honors with Morgyn Bender’s 44 taking the individual title and Olivia Swartzentruber’s 47 as runner-up. Other Golden Hawk scores included Addison English 49, Alena Snider 51, Paiton Chittick 54 and Lilly Miller 57. The win moves the Mid-Prairie girls to 18-2 as they get ready for a Friday trip to the Durant Wildcat Invitational.

The Golden Hawk boys were second of four at Wahkonsa in Durant. The Hawks shot a team score 178 with West Liberty posting a best-of-the-night 167, Wilton going 184 and Durant 198. Golden Hawk leaders were Hudson Ehrenfelt and Ace Peck with their 43s, followed by Denver Nelson 45, Bryce Henry 47, Grayson Gingerich 48 and Clayton Davidson 50. The Golden Hawk boys are 20-12 on the year and travel to the West Liberty Invitational Tuesday.
