The WACO Warriors are embarking on a new season of girls’ track and field. Among the WACO returners are senior Ally Rinner and sophomores Brenna Graber and Madelyn Famer, who ran for the shuttle hurdles relay team that reached the Class 1A state championships last season and won a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North title.

Also back is sophomore Carlee Lunsford, who won a conference crown in the 200-meter run and helped the Warriors win a medal at the conference meet in the distance medley, while newcomers like freshman Bren Graber are already making an impact after she won the title in the high jump at the University of Dubuque Indoor Classic. WACO’s first outdoor track meet of the season will be the Falcon Relays next Tuesday in West Burlington.
