The Dolly Parton Imagination Library program that provides free books for children is coming to Washington. The Washington Free Public Library Foundation has announced it is funding the program for patrons in the Washington, Brighton and Ainsworth zip codes. The Foundation anticipates registration to open in April.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides books to children from birth to age five free of charge. People can register and the books are mailed directly to them. Over 3.1 million children have been registered in the program and over 270 million books have been gifted. Dolly Parton began the program in 1995.
