The Cinematics, Washington High School’s show choir, are in the middle of their competition season and recently brought home some hardware. They placed second in 3A and overall fifth-runner up in the finals at the Keokuk “Power City Classic” competition.
The Cinematics also received a Division III rating at the Keota State Contest on February 1st.
The Cinematics are under the direction of Choir Director Alexander Siron. He tells KCII News that the idea of the show is to be a wave of emotions and finding one’s way, and includes songs from The Great Gatsby movie, High School Musical, and more.
They will next be on stage a week from today, March 8th, at the Fort Madison “Stars in the Spotlight” competition.
