The trend of lower than normal snowfall amounts this winter in Washington carried through February. According to the National Weather Service, last month Washington observed 4.9 inches of snow, about three inches below normal. 

Snowfall totals in Washington have been below normal all winter with 7.6 inches of total snow fall observed, approximately one-third of the normal amount for this point in the season.
