
The competitive archery teams from the Washington Community School District will look to bring home some hardware from this year’s National Archery in the Schools Program Iowa State Tournament at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, with a total of 78 archers competing for Washington’s three teams.
The Washington High School Demons will be represented by Gabby Andrew, Itzell Calixto, Nicholas Charlier, Mark Chenoweth, Braydon Clough, Hailey Curtis, Chris Deao, Brooke Feliciano, Chance Haskins, Emma Helfrich, Chloe Hoback, Blaine Hudson, Ethan Hotchkiss, Atheney LaBelle, Hannah Lipski, Avery Marner, Payton McDole, Layne Moore, Ryen Pepper, Killian Ribble, Jace Sanders, Eva Torres, Ayden Vargas, Kamryn Williams, Charlee and Kaden Read and Isaiah and Johannah Halvorson.
Shooting for Washington Middle School will be Hunter Barnes, Kirya Coates, Ethan Dewell, Gabriel Frost, Evelyn Glaspie, Tristen Heisdorffer, Jace Helfrich, Lilith Hernandez, Zach Hotchkiss, Sam Kaye, Lawson Love, Alexander McFarland, Addy Neer, Braxton Rich, Christopher Richardson, Madalyn Roundy, Jordan Thorius, Kenzie Vargas, Caleb Wise, Kaelyn Wullner, Bella and Harley Venenga and Mason and Miriam Pierce.
Representing Lincoln Elementary are Kooper Barnes, Ally Black, Keegan Boshart, Lawson DeWolf, Chloe Entsminger, Grayson Frost, Owen Gellerstedt, Harper Horn, Logan Hotchkiss, Faelyn Lee, Zoey Marner, Clark Marsden, Kaylee McFarland, Louis Meija, Jackson Miller, James Montz, Kiara Murphy, Mason Ousey, Javier Palacios, Skyler Ruenger, Jayse Thorius, Emma Timmins, Dawson Zieser and Mizael Zuniga. Competition begins tonight with the high school division of bullseye shooting and runs through all day Saturday.
