The Washington City Council will hold a special session to consider the total maximum property tax levy for fiscal year 2022 after their regular meeting tonight.
This is the second year municipalities are required to hold a public hearing on the tax levy since a law passed by the state legislature. The regular meeting will include a second change order and an eighth pay application for the North 4th Avenue improvements project, and a resolution to adopt an agreement for the Surface Transportation Block Grant program for West Buchanan Street. The council will also hold a closed session regarding law enforcement matters and confidential records.
The council’s regular meeting begins at 6 p.m. with the special session at 7 p.m. in the city hall council chambers.
