Parents have less than two weeks left to register their students for classes with the Washington Community School District. The days of summer are ticking away. Washington Middle School Principal Curt Mayer says registration can all be done electronically and is similar to how it was done last year. He said the district has taken a step to help families this year by waiving book fees, “We felt that was very important to help out our families. So, the fees that they may have to pay would be obviously for lunch or music rental, those types of things, or if they wanted yearbooks and such. But book fees are waived this year, so that is an added bonus for our parents.”
He said if parents have questions, they’re welcome to call any of the four school buildings for assistance, “We’re just excited to be able to come back and see them and help assist families. We know that there’s going to be a variety of situations but we’re looking forward to seeing our student and getting our year kicked off in each building.” For e-registration information click here.
