Golden Hawk grappler Cory Allen closed his regular season with a milestone at the Denver Duels last week. Allen, a senior on this year’s Mid-Prairie squad, scored his 100th career victory at the weekend tournament. Allen reached the mark with a 5-3 decision over Christian Sackett from Stewartville, Minnesota. Allen’s first career victory as a Golden Hawk came on December third of 2016 at the Jeremy Fulk Classic at New London where as a freshman he beat Riley Miller of Oskaloosa by a 6-4 decision. His 50th career win was December 18th of 2018 at the North Linn Invitational where he beat Cole Webster of Center Point Urbana 12-6. Allen will next be in action Saturday at the sectional tournament in Williamsburg.
