The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team travels to North Cedar Thursday for a River Valley Conference quadrangular meet with Wilton, Anamosa and the Knights.

The Golden Hawks were at the Gary Curtis Invitational at Highland Saturday where they finished ninth as a team led by Isaac Boucher at 220lbs and Gannon Callahan at 285 finishing third. The Golden Hawks were last in dual action a week ago when they fell to the Washington Demons and Fort Madison Bloodhounds on the road, dropping their overall record to 5-11 in duals.

Wilton comes into the night with an overall record of 13-15. They were last in dual action last Tuesday when they faced Dyersville Beckman, Center Point-Urbana, Midland and Starmont at Maquoketa Valley, taking three of five duals with wins over Starmont, Maquoketa Valley and Midland. The Beavers have two ranked wrestlers in their lineup according to thepredicament.com with Kael Brisker at No. 7 in class 1A at 106lbs and Cory Anderson No. 7 at 145lbs. The Beavers and the Golden Hawks met right before Christmas in a quadrangular at Benton where Wilton took a 48-30 win.

Anamosa comes into the night with an overall dual record of 10-7. The Blue Raiders were last in action Saturday at BGM. The Golden Hawks and Raiders have never faced one another in a dual.

North Cedar enters with a mark of 3-7 on the year. The Knights were last in action at the Northeast Goose Lake Invitational Saturday. The Knights have one ranked wrestler in their lineup with Chase Gallagher checking in at No. 10 in class 1A at 285lbs. These two teams met a season ago with Mid-Prairie taking a 66-18 win.
