A new set of maintenance regulations for private properties will be up for a vote at Monday’s Wellman City Council meeting.
The public hearing will feature a proposal to adopt 12 minimum requirements for homes in Wellman. Some of the proposed changes include replacing or repairing any damaged windows or doors, keeping walls free of cracks, holes, and breaks, and maintaining stairs to be in good condition. The City Administrator is in charge of monitoring and enforcing these regulations. Another item on the agenda for Monday is an amendment to city code defining what makes an animal vicious versus dangerous.
