The Washington Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 10th anniversary of a local business and organization Tuesday.

A ribbon cutting was held for The Village and Main Street Washington during the Bryson Block Party that was held on the corner of Marion Avenue and Main Street in downtown Washington. Main Street Washington Executive Director Sarah Grunewaldt spoke at the event, “Main Street’s really excited this year is our 10th anniversary we’re kind of wrapping up the fall with all of our big events coming up we have a wine tasting event at the end of the month and then we’ll jump full boar into the holidays and Christmas and starting our 11th year. We’ve been very blessed to be in Washington for 10 years and we’re looking forward to 10 further successful years of making an impact to downtown and the business community.”

Live music was heard and food and beverages were served at the Bryson Block Party Tuesday evening, hosted by Main Street Washington, the Washington Chamber of Commerce, Washington Economic Development Group, The Village, Peoples Capital Management, and JP’s 207.
