Absentee ballots are now available for the special election to fill a vacant Mid-Prairie School Board seat on August 28th.
Voters who want to vote by absentee ballot may do so in person at the Washington County Auditor’s Office until 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 28th. Auditor’s office hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, August 24th and Monday, August 27th. Alternatively, a ballot can be mailed to a voter upon the voter’s written request. The ballot request form may be obtained from the Washington County Auditor’s Office or downloaded online. Requests must be received in the Auditor’s office no later than 5 p.m. Friday, August 17th. The deadline to pre-register for the election is August 17th at 5 p.m. Residents may register at the auditor’s office or any driver’s license station. Anyone is who is eligible to vote may register in person on election day by completing a voter registration application, making written oath, and providing proof of both identity and residence.
