Iowa Mennonite senior Avery Blauvelt had a big year with her bat in the middle of the lineup for head coach Katheryn Ney and the softball program.

Blauvelt who spent the majority of the year hitting in the no. 3 spot finished with a .429 average, fifth best in the Southeast Iowa Superconference while slugging .694, second best in the league. Her .508 on base percentage was fourth best in the conference and her two home runs tied her for seventh in the conference standings. Iowa Mennonite ended the season with a 3-16 overall record. Blauvelt will continue her softball career at Wisconsin Lutheran next year.
