A Welsh conductor will be making his final musical performance in southeast Iowa next week.
The Salem Welsh Presbyterian Church in rural Columbus Junction will host the final Gymanfa Ganu with guest Trefor Williams, before he and his wife, Barbara, move back to Wales. A Gymanfa Ganu is a Welsh hymn singing festival. Williams, who resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, kicked off his farewell tour at the Salem Welsh Presbyterian Church last September and will return to finish his tour this Sunday at 2 p.m. This event is free to attend, and light refreshments will follow the festivities.
