It was a stress free night for the Washington girls’ basketball team on Saturday when they dismantled Oskaloosa 53-16.

Despite an eight-day layoff, there was no sign of rust for the Demons, as they jumped out to an early 14-5 lead after the first and 25-10 at the break. In the second half, the Demons kept the pressure on to cruise to the 37-point win. Washington was everywhere defensively racking up 22 steals on the day. Addison Six led the Demons with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Sarah Nacos was also in double figures with 14 points and five steals. The Demons improve to 5-8 on the season and Oskaloosa falls to 0-13.

Washington will seek a winning streak Friday traveling to Fort Madison.
