The Mid-Prairie High School Choral program has had a busy fall with performances around southeast Iowa.

The year began with a performance from the Mixed Choir and Ladies’ Lyrica groups at the Kalona Fall Festival. On October 2, high school and middle school students traveled to Camanche for the Conference Honor Choir. The Mid-Prairie Royal Court Madrigal Choir traveled to Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois October 8, where they performed with choirs across the midwest. Several Mid-Prairie vocalists auditioned for the All-State Chorus on October 21 in Washington, and Ty Waters was accepted into the All-State Chorus and will be performing in Ames November 18. Mid-Prairie Vocal Director Collette McClellan says it wouldn’t be possible for her students to attend these choral events without the support of administration, staff, and the Fine Arts Boosters.
