A vehicle rubbed along a semi’s tire on the roadway, the driver then pulled over and fled the scene on foot early Sunday.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 12:12 a.m. a caller reported a white pickup truck was all over the roadway and had rubbed up against his semi’s tire. A sheriff’s deputy then stopped the vehicle in the 1100 block of Commercial Drive in Riverside. The driver, 41-year-old Nicholas Michael Pugh of Solon then took off on foot from the scene. Authorities arrested him for operating while intoxicated second offense, reckless driving, failure to yield to emergency vehicles, and interference with official acts. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
