The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team suffered their first defeat of the season on Thursday night, dropping a road contest to the West Liberty Comets 3-0.

The Comets had goals from Jesus Maldonado, Martin Menjivar-Benagas and Gabe Seele. With the loss Mid-Prairie falls to 1-1 on the year. They will next be in action Monday when they host Clear Creek-Amana.
