Several Senior cross country runners from the KCII listening area will be in action today at the Iowa Association of Track Coaches 2015 Senior All-Star Meet.

Mid-Prairie has two runners competing today. The Golden Hawks are represented by Luke Sigler and Ryan Errthum. Sigler led the Golden Hawks at seven of their competitions this year including the state qualifier, where he placed second. At the state meet in Fort Dodge, Sigler was 16th overall.

Errthum led the Golden Hawks at one meet this year. He was the top Mid-Prairie finisher at the Williamsburg meet to open the season with his third place finish. Errthum placed ninth at the state qualifier, helping Mid-Prairie to the meet championship. Errthum finished 26th in the state meet at Fort Dodge.

Kieffer Sexton of the Highland Cross Country team is also participating in the all-star event. Sexton led the Huskies at eight different meets on the season. Sexton won four regular season meet championships in 2015 including events at Fairfield, English Valleys, Washington and Columbus. Sexton was the 2015 Southeast Iowa Super Conference boys individual champion. Sexton placed third at the state qualifying meet at Seminole Valley in Cedar Rapids and brought home the best individual finish of any runner in the state meet placing fifth in class 1A.

Johnathan Quinn of the Winfield-Mt. Union Cross Country team will also be participating today. Quinn had a top 10 showing in the Mike Jay Invitational at Columbus during the regular season. Quinn also finished in the top ten in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference meet, took eighth at the state qualifier at Seminole Valley in Cedar Rapids and finished 25th at the state meet in Fort Dodge.

Racing continues throughout the day today on the campus of Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny.
