A special performance of the Washington High School marching band is being held tonight. The band’s show begins at 7 p.m. Admission for tonight’s show is free, but water, popcorn and candy will be sold at the concession stand with all proceeds benefiting the band’s trip to Hawaii. They will be going for the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

Band director Don Hughes explains this year’s field show is titled “Dante’s Descent” and is based on the first book of the Divine Comedy and Dante’s journey through the underworld.

The trip to Hawaii is planned for Thanksgiving week of 2016 and the cost per person is $2,673.
