Washington has received over two inches of rain more than the normal amount for the first 28 days of June. According to the National Weather Service, Washington has observed 6.88 inches of precipitation, above the normal 4.54 inches. Temperatures observed this month are about one-tenth of a degree away from the normal; the average temperature observed has been 70.2 degrees, slightly below the 70.3 normal.

Area river levels at Kalona, Lone Tree, Columbus Junction and Wapello fell over the weekend. The North Skunk River at Sigourney remains above flood stage.
