A few churches in Brighton have started a new type of gathering they hope will draw people from across the area. Fellowship at Brighton is held from 6:30 to 7:30 Sunday evenings at the Brighton Community Center. The Brighton City Council recently agreed to allow the churches to use the venue for free.
Pastor at Brighton United Church, Rick Zickefoose, explains the informal gatherings include music, reading of scripture and personal stories from anyone interested in sharing. And he says it’s open to anyone. They’ve invited other congregations from the area to join them for the weekly event. He shares they have no plans of incorporating Fellowship at Brighton.
