The Washington boys golf team fell just a little bit short in its bid to qualify for state, ending its season in Pella on Tuesday.

The Demons shot for a team score of 333, good for fifth place and 17 strokes shy of third-place Ballard, the final spot qualified for state. Individually, Rajan Roth led the Demons with a 75, good for sixth place and one stroke short of an individual spot at state. Other Demon golfers included Drew Conrad at 77, Ethan Peebler at 89, Caleb Orr and Tate Greiner at 92, and Carson Brown at 95.

Pella, North Polk, and Ballard qualified out of districts, with Norwalk’s Jackson Price and Grinnell’s Levi Jack taking the two individual qualifier spots.
