Gamers from the Lone Tree ESports team picked up their controllers Monday at the Iowa High School ESports Association state tournament in Marshalltown. The Lions competed in the Valorant bracket with 11 other teams from across the state. Valorant is a five-on-five first-person shooter video game. Each match determined a winner on a best-of-three game basis. Lone Tree competed in two matches on the day, dropping their first by a 3-0 final to home Marshalltown and the second to Janesville 2-0.

The tournament marked the end of the season for the Lions with an overall Valorant record of 7-2. Learn more about the IAHSEA at the link in this news story at KCIIRadio.com.
