The next Washington Farmers’ Market in Central Park is happening tonight.
The season kicked off last week with the market running from 5-7:30 p.m. each Thursday in downtown Washington through October 9th. Visitors will find locally grown produce, home-made products, handmade crafts, and food trucks each week. In addition, music will be featured on the bandstand throughout the market’s season. Those interested in being vendors should contact the Farmers Market board. Registration can be done weekly or once for the season.
As a reminder, seniors who are 60 years or older with a household income less than $27,861 in a household of one, or $37,814 for a household of two can receive $50 worth of farmers market vouchers. To enroll in the program, contact Heritage Area Agency on Aging or Choices in Washington.
