The Iowa State Patrol has released the identities of those involved in a single-vehicle accident in rural Keokuk County that left the driver dead and three others injured.

The driver, 20-year-old Caleb Eugine Schultz of New Sharon, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were injured in the accident; 19-year-old Jenna Marie Follman of Sigourney and 24-year-old Tegon Anthony Fogle of Packwood were transported by Keokuk County Ambulance to Mahaska Hospital, while 18-year-old Maddasen Azelia Morris was transported by Keokuk County Ambulance to Keokuk County Health Center. None were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The accident happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning. According to law enforcement officials, the 2014 Cadillac SRX was traveling westbound near the 10000 block of 170th Street, west of What Cheer, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole. The vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to rest in a ditch.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office and What Cheer Fire Department.
