Columbus girls’ soccer played up a couple classes on Friday, but couldn’t pull off the upset against Ottumwa, falling 4-0 at home.

The Bulldogs spread things out over the 80 minutes, scoring two goals in each half. Ottumwa senior Ilana Vasconez scored a hat trick, with the other goal being delivered by junior Blythe Schmidt.

Columbus drops to 4-6 for the year, while Ottumwa climbs to 8-5-1. The Wildcats face Washington on Tuesday.
